Random AI + Defender mode = Bad Idea
« on: January 31, 2011, 01:53:53 am »
I decided to try out defender mode today choosing to use random easier AI types. Turns out that it gave my Shield Ninny and Support Corps. Defender mode is not fun when you have AI types that don't send waves. I guess I shouldn't use random AI for defender mode.

They should probably be excluded from the random selection when on defender mode.

In fact, I think one of defender mode's major failings at present is that it pretty much relies on the player to set it up just right in order for it to be any fun. I'm leaning towards thinking that in this case a greater restriction of options available for defender mode would actually be better.

I thought that in defender mode all AIs send waves, even if they don't send waves in conquest mode.
Apparently they missed some. ;)

Pick Assassin (or Bully), it works well :)
(Nice aggressive AI with no special abilities. 2 Asses can really grab you by the cohonas if you are not carefull :D)
