steam cloud for steam players??

hey guys, I'm starting this to see who else is having the same idea!

i would love to see steam cloud feature implemented on steam version of this very cool game because it's
extremely convenient. It would mean save files are automatically backed up to steam's server and we can finally
resume our sessions in any pc we choose to do so!

PLUS, no more headache of forgetting to backup our save files..it's extremely convenient!

wow...thanks!! i really hope this feature would get implemented! i love the game..it's taking a long time to finish each round and i really wanna play it around my pc/laptops without having to copy them into thumb drives all the time!

Then simply copy your AIWar game to thumbdrive... and play it from there. Thats the best solution around

Yup, it's small and it doesn't use the registry, so there's absolutely no reason you can't just haul the entire install around as easy as you please. There's no internet connection required that way, either.

I'm not so sure though, I'm seeing steam store stating the game contains 'other Dem's so it might not be possible

I am a fan of the Cloud, though i usually just toss my save into my Dropbox folder, which is almost the same thing

99% sure that everything is contained in your settings.dat file, so nothing outside your ai war folder should be needed

The steam version is probably not too happy to be lugged around, but you could easily download a separate download from the Arcen website and unlock it with your steam key.

This would be great, I really love the way how it is integrated in some Steam games, like Torchlight for instance!

Torchlight is pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to Torchlight 2 (though not as much as Diablo 3!). That said, steam cloud would be nice, assuming it's not too much work.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but are there any plans to add Steam Cloud support in the future?  I would love to be able to play in the living room on the desktop and then jump in bed and continue the same game on the wife's laptop and while the alternatives mentioned would work, Steam Cloud just makes it all a bit easier.

It is possible to copy the AI War folder to USB and play it on another computer.
I've done it many times and it works.
