I know nothing about the license surrounding the sprites used in AI War, but I notice that many sprites in Starmageddon (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/528082#) were used in AI War. My question is: Are the sprites publicly available? Did that game steal the sprites without permission? Do they have permission?

AI War uses a number of sprites from a free set from Daniel Cook (iirc), and possibly some others, so it's not necessarily an indication of wrongdoing. Also, I think a few months ago Chris released a lot of the AI War graphical assets for free use. Chris would know better about the specifics.
