Yeah, I'd wanted to get those in for 3.800, but just couldn't manage it.  It's on my list for a second release tonight.

Also also also also (I've no idea how many alleged "showstoppers" I'm up to now):

Would I be correct in saying MRSs and engineers don't show their repair lines in far zoom?

When you zoom out very far, yes.  This is the intended behavior for the moment.

Is it open to debate? I genuinely thought my MRS wasn't working! I told him to buck his ideas up, and everything. He must've been baffled, diligently working away as he was!

It's not something I can easily change.  It's complicated.  The only reason it worked in SlimDX was because I was drawing 5 lines instead of one.  It's something I might revisit after 4.0, but as it stands its too low of priority for the moment.

Ok, a lot's happened since this was first posted ;)  Aside from the OSX crashes (which are serious, but we know about them and are working on them):

Are there any other showstoppers remaining?

My eyes still really struggle with the contrast of the check box Xs...  :-[ (#0000746).

Also: #0000790.

Just spit and polish GUI stuff, mind you.

Scrolling via screen Edges is not working as it should. (For me, not properly at all ;p)

I know i am being very annoying with this one but it prevents me from scrolling via the screen edges as often it either doesn't scroll at all or is stuck moving in 1 direction. This seems to be caused by a very high sensitivity mouse, as this allows for very fast "nudge to edge" moves the game does not register those properly and often view scroll directions are read entirely wrong or keep scrolling in the wrong direction.

I wouldn't bicker about this if it weren't a showstopper to me as i don't actually have to force me to reproduce this, it happens constantly as i nudge the view (out of habbit i guess) often in one direction for a bit and all the time it ends up moving in the wrong direction, or doesn't register the "mouse hitting the view edge" at all!

---------------

Also is there a reason theres no "group move toggle button" anymore? That hotkey does not seem to toggle it
* eRe4s3r only posting here because no response to this bug report is always a bad sign ;) Sorry if i am misappropriating this topic ;p

The mouse in general is weird with unity. Try this:press control and then hold down the left click while building turrets. Don't move the mouse. But then you press the arrow keys to move the view from left to right.. notice that the turrets will not be placed unless the game registers the mouse position. This little experiment really helps you understand how the interface works. Unity is not getting the mouse position as reported by the operating system…it appears to need the mouse position to be updated for it to work.

eRe4s3r: While I don't have any ideas regarding the bug you came across, have you tried scrolling by holding middle click and moving the mouse? I'm pointing it you in case you haven't seen it. It makes scrolling a lot easier and would bypass this bug. :)

Yes that is how i scroll now, though it is a very straining method (middle button = middle finger) and for some reason i really can't hold that mouse button pressed with that middle finger for very long ;(

Though it is certainly not a fix as "edge" scrolling is a method that requires no buttons, and thus is vastly different (in scope of action) as say, arrow keys or middle button (or zoom, which is way too drastic a nudge ;p)

Reminds me that middle button scroll also should be an toggle (not a hold+drag, but press once and release and drag) as pressing the button is a bit different (and a lot less straining) than holding it.

Or… Just use the arrow keys?

the arrow keys are in between both my hands so using them requires to either take the hand from WASD or from the mouse ... so one can't just naturally press these buttons, you have to look where they are and take eyes from the screen. ;)

You can change them with unity. check out the planet view key bindings.

tis true of course and am aware, but i have no problem with scrolling via zoom in such cases, what i mean is nudging the view (like to move 200 pixels to the left to place more turrets close to each other in a line) and often i habitually move to the screen edges so this not working right is imo a pretty drastic issue ;P

besides that i love the game so i would really like this to be fixed.  ;) :D
