Potential exo wave bias in multiplayer games?

Has anyone used an exo source in multi-player? If so, have you seen any noticeable bias for exo targets regarding player? I ask because in my current game, we are seeing a significant bias towards player 1, to the point where if the exo has a "destroy HW" target, it is ALWAYS player 1's home. I'm not sure if this is just sheer RNG being a troll (again), an indirect consequence of the map geometry (more ways to reach player 1's homeworld than mine), or an actual issue going on. Which is why I am soliciting feedback.

Anyone else notice something along these lines, or are exos decently "unbiased" for you? If they are biased, which player are they being biased towards?

I've seen something resembling this.

Me and the person I play with have gotten into a habit where one of us unlocks Econ IIIs and the other unlocks Mil IIIs. We've played quite a bit in the last few weeks, and since the scrap mechanic showed up we've done a lot of 'tanking with the homeworld', where he unlocks Mil IIIs right away and we try and redirect as many waves as possible to his HW. Usually by his HW being a chokepoint, and clearing or neutering the planets behind it.

I'm always player 1, and a lot (not all) of the exo's will enter his HW and make a beeline for the exit to mine. But this seemed like very sensible behavior, since his HW had the Mil III foldout, 80% of the turrets, and any trader stuff we managed to get built.

Do the Exos take into account how defended the target is??

This calls for science.  Next time, you (as player 1) unlock the Mil3 and set yourself  up as the chokepoint (effectively swapping roles) and see what happens.

Nothing says science like attempting to coerce giant doom weapons capable of leveling cities to dance around. ;)

It does pick the first human HW it finds, which is generally (possibly always) the first player's.  It's predictable, but it's predictable in SP too :)
