Requesting a few more options

 Hi, I wonder if it would be possible to add options to turn off counter attack guard posts and emp guardians. Just like shield generators I used to like them when they first came out but I've grown really very tired of these things. I talked about it with my gaming group and we all agreed we would turn them off and keep them off if we could, so I'd like to ask if it is possible to make those optional.

I don't think they should be considered "standard" options, but cheats to remove all of them (and keep them gone) would be cool. A similar cheat for removing all AI Eyes exist, and some for a few other things too.

I dont agree to comparing them to eyes. Just like AI beachheads, these 2 things dont matter much if we have good scouting going on and take 5 minutes every so often to deal with the threat, but if we are distracted for whatever reason then they can cause a quick loss.

 AI Eyes on the other hand force some variety without forcing unfun moments on us unless we play at level 9+ (another reason we never play high difficulty games, the number of eyes and hybrids is too high). When we get together and just mess around while playing a game of AI war, it`s rather ideal since like half the time there`s nothing to do because of the constant (re)building, so plenty of time for chatting and stuff.

 Anyway, i guess a cheat code to remove all counterattack posts and emp guardians would work for us, but we`d rather have a lobby option to keep them from spawning.

You control when Counter Attack Posts activate, so I'm not sure what problems they are causing you.  In MP games, they are great moments of everyone coming together to help defend a single system.  EMP Guardians...I mean they can be rough, but the only time they've caused me problems was when I somehow missed seeing on in system.  I suspect given time, you soon won't be all that concerned about EMP Guardians.  They are a threat, but very counterable.

 Huuu, we`ve played a bunch with both features, reason I`m asking for them to become optional is because they are usually little more than big annoyances but if we are distracted for some reason they are suddenly dangerous. In the case of counter posts we build a pile of turrets and forcefields and move fleets to cover wormholes, but that`s 5-10 minutes we<re doing a boring side mission rather than focusing on the main mission. We would like the option of skipping the side mission we liked last year but dont like anymore.

Yeah I agree it would have to be a cheat and not a regular option. They're not to much trouble to deal with to make it an official option. Personally I only pop counter guard posts if I have to take that planet. If I just want to neuter a planet I generally leave the counters alone. Their waves are usually not very hard to deal with though. Only if you play against Heroic AI type or something they'll pose a serious threat.
EMP guardians used to be one of the hardest thing to deal with for me until I realized that they don't attack you unless you piss them off. If you enter a certain tough AI planet with EMP's on them, just make sure all the EMP's die before you retreat or get wiped out. If you can't pull that off because the planet is too tough, then don't attack it.

And well, they're both jut part of the game really. I know you rather focus on continuing with the main objective instead of holding off the wave, but you wouldn't turn off exo's and CPA's either right? Some regular waves will require your attention too.

You can control when Counter Attack Guard Posts send waves and EMP Guardians usually aren't a problem if you have Gravitational Turrets.
You have encountered an obstacle. Now you need to get over it. Or find a way around it..
