Regarding FPS (Framerate)
« on: February 13, 2010, 03:15:20 am »
I was just wondering, if there were an option to make the game run at 25-30fps would that have a significant drain on the game, would it actually cause it to lag more. I'm ok with the fps right now but when I first started playing this game it was very noticeable that stuff ran quite a bit slower than I'm use to. Especially if ships are flying by and you can see them making many small increments in movement as opposed to smoothly gliding by.
Like I said I'm fine with it now, got quite use to it, but I've heard other people (actually just one that I know of) complain and thought maybe it could be a feasible option in the future. If not I'm perfectly enjoying the game as is.

Yeah, unfortunately that would cause a lot more lag on the game, and some incompatibilities with multiplayer.  Probably not going to be feasible, at least not in the next few years, but I could be wrong.
