Reclamation cap?
« on: July 05, 2013, 02:10:42 am »
Is there a limit to the number of ships of a given type that I can leech/reclaim? My current policy is that leeched ships (that I can't produce myself) are sent to my HW and then loaded in a transport. They act as my last ditch reserve so they are not used unless I'm in trouble (and the transport ensures they get fast to the hot point).

So, can I get theoretically say 800 Bombers II?

Also, what is the limit on Mark model I can leech away? It seems most of the time the Mark III are impervious to my Leech I starship, but still, I managed to get some.

There is no cap on leeches ships ! :D So you can eat the whole AI wave and send it back ^^
And the reason why your leech starships I don't reclaim much Mk3 is reclaimation damage do more to lower or equal mark and less to higher mark so Mk1 vs Mk3 won't do much reclamation.

Actually, Arkillion is wrong.  Reclaiming enemy ships is limited to the normal ship cap.  So on normal caps, you can't reclaim bombers if you already have 96 bombers of that mark.

Reclaiming is therefore most useful against ships you don't have unlocked.

He is right about the reclaim damage thing.  Reclaimers CAN reclaim higher mark ships, they just aren't very GOOD at it.

MaxAstro is correct, however -
Just to make things little more complicated:  There is no cap on 'zombie' reclaimation.  Those are the ships you capture but cannot control (reclaimed by the Botnet Golem, for example).  You can end with thousands of those.
