How to know when the universe hates you:

The Red are MK IVs, the yellows MK IIIs, and the Blues are II's and under.  This is gonna get ugly.
... and then we'll have cake.

at least you've spotted a few nice targets already, judging from the priorities you've set ^^

Ish.  There's an ARS two jumps out (P9) and a Bombard V Fab (P7), the P0's and 1's are things to watch out for.  There's a few eyes, a Special Forces Alarm, Counterspy, stuff like that.

It's just the 'chew through the MK IV' to get at that ARS... LOL. It's just a LOT of MK IV, particularly as borderworlds.

heh, I'd avoid the Special forces alarm post like the plague. I never cared about them in the past, but now they're lethal. I would personally try to take that cluster of 4 mk IV as quickly as possible. Unless one of them borders the special forces alarm, in which case I would try to assinate it and reload the game until it doesn't trigger. Well, I would only do that in high dif games, but I know that's all you play.
I'd get the ARS and Bombard fab fast and hope I won't get cuddly hugged  in the process.
I've learned not to alert mk IV worlds on dif 9/9 for too long. If I have to take a mk IV world that borders another mk IV world, I automatically take that one too (or place a Warp Jammer but that's too costy for early game knowledge).

That does look like a postcard from the RNG.  Did it come with black roses?

If it's early enough in the game, popping the SF alarm post will be mostly harmless ;)

Hope you don't mind reptiles, because you're going to have to turtle your way out of that one!

...

Yeah, I know, lame joke, it had to be made.

I really hope you don't have Hybrids on.  A 9/9 with even Hybrids just at 4 will have those Mark IV worlds swimming in 50+ less than 45 minutes into the game.  I cracked one, shutting down two would be tough.  You'd just have to hope you can raid at least one of the spawners.
