Question about Selectionning units and rally posts

When using the icon to select different kinds of ship in the galaxy view. Is it possible to select ALL my raid starship instead of just mark1 or mark 2 or mark 3 version?

If no, please add this to the suggestion box. It's annoying having to select every mark level of the same starship differently.


For rally post, I'm using them to rally my spawning troops from 1 planet to my farthest one (snake map) but sometimes I want my troops to move back 1 planet (usually to bait the AI into attacking me) however because of the rally post my ship will entre the wormhole and come back in no time. Is it possible to tell your ships that they cannot rally to the planet from where they come from?

I mean if I'm on planet X and sending my ships to planet Y, I don't want them to rally back to planet X.

ps: I'm still on 4.070 but I read the changelog up to 4.073 and didn't see anything about those 2 points.

The select-all-of-type-regardless-of-mark has been suggested and has quite a bit of community support, yes   One thing you can do is left-click their box in the planetary summary on the right side of the screen.

Or are you using the find tool on the galaxy map?


And on the rally post thing there really isn't any conditional like that, I'm afraid.  But I'm not sure I understand your rally post setup or exactly what you want from it, can you just tell your space docks to go one-way to the desired rally planet, and so not need any rally posts?

I was using the find tool on the galaxy map.

As for the rally post. It's set up as such.

Planet 1 has the docks, docks rally to planet 2 wormholes who then rallies to planet 3 who then rallies to planet 4 and so on. Throw some warps one in a while to close the distance but essentially its the same. Warps rally to next planet who rallies to next planet and so on.

Never though about simply telling my warps or docks to go to my farthest planet from the get go though. I will start doing that thanks for the tip (feeling dumb now from not thinking of something this easy ahah)

Select all ships, press down the 'ctrl'-key, select a mark of the shiptype you want to select, it now only selects all marks or the shiptype out of the selected ships.

When you have two planets adjacent and set each to rally towards the other, your ships will jump in and out of the gate in a blink of an eye. Pretty useless for planetairy defence as they tend to not pick up the targets there in this extremely short interval.
Preferably redirection-rallypoints should have ships move to the rallypoint themselves and only than be redirected. This would allow ships to for instance move to the center of a planet, and only than get redirected back into the gate they just exited.

How do you select all your ships in the galaxy view and then click on a selected ship? I'm not on a single planet, otherwise i'd just click on the icon on the right side. My raid starship can be spread on multiple planets with different mark level on each planet.

But i'll remember that 'ctrl' key trick, will be usefull in other situations, thanks.

Sorry, only now realise you mean on the galactic view. I never use that so forgat it is even there ...
