Also, the comment about the core fabricator was just me musing about things; As a somewhat fluent modder of x3tc, and a ex-modder of homeworld 2, I look deeper into things than your average player, it seems. A player would look at that and say "yes, it can only build battle cruisers", whereas I look at it and say "thats a waste of resources, having one per type of core ship..."

Although I could be wrong, and it could be a clever use of calling description and name strings in the right place. I'm not quite at the same level of understanding with the ai war engine as I am the engine of x3tc...

Well, in the end, it doesnt truely matter - x4000 has pretty much said thats the point of the core fabricators, so I've nothing really to argue about

I'm not sure why that would be a waste of resources; ship types don't cost me anything, and it fits the model I wanted, and it was by far the quickest thing to code.  My resources are my own time, and money I have to spend on other staff and overhead that are relating to the game.  My way was the most resource-efficient way to do it from a programming standpoint, and from a design standpoint it was simply what I'd been looking for:  A ship class that you can build in only one location, so that you have oodles of incentive to protect that single location if you want to continue having that ship class.

I guess that would be the difference between x3tc's engine and yours then; my mistake.

Yep, it's accidental test code that was left in.  Feel free to just delete that starting one to have a regular game!

(Complex IMO was the best mod for HW2!  Well, maybe PDS; afterwards, some mod that escapes my mind that adds the HW 1 races. // Must spam Fighters and Vettes, along with platforms with disruption probes.)

Though, I still think I will use the Raid line--depends until I try them out in-game. 
I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.

Not deleting it makes for an exciting game! I had to double turrets and increase ship presences.

Adding in a new bug to fix the old one strikes me as likely to cause more trouble than it is worth.  Just consider it a freebie on energy if you don't want to delete it, I'd say.
