No, Unity iPhone supports iphone and ipad, and is a separate product with a separate supported platform (i.e. roughly .NET 1.1 instead of roughly 2.0)
Thankfully, the next version of Unity iPhone is, to our knowledge, getting updated to a newer version of mono (the .NET equivalent) so we can actually use all those generic types in our code, etc.
The other issue is whether Apple will approve a Unity game under TOS 4.0; we can't tell until we actually submit a product for approval and if they say no we lose our investment in making that product for their platform. We have some tentative plans to try that for a fairly small upcoming project, and if that works out we could look at a version of Tidalis for the iPad at least (it actually has a decent max resolution) and go from there
AI War on either platform sounds a bit unlikely to me, honestly, but we don't know what the future holds for the hardware, etc.
