Repair stations are really indispensable now- they increase the efficency of a fleet immeasurably and can do the work of over 9000 engineers- it would be madness not to unlock them off the bat.

Ok, found it... it should have been crashing since a while I ago, I'd think; I had no idea that  "1.0f / (float)0" == float.Infinity as opposed to a div/zero error.  The bug is in the denominator being set to zero during some transition or another.

Ok, that's fixed for 3.147, thanks.

In the meantime the "workaround" is basically to avoid the stats menu, or at least save before you open it ;)  Hopefully 3.147 shouldn't be long in coming, though.  Need to go put in that cleartype setting...

Ion cannons are behaving strangely

they are not registering any kills in the stats menu and one of mine I have built on an AI world refuses to shoot stationary wormhole gaurds unless given a specific order to do so

 * Existing "counter-shot radius" drawing logic (which also draws tractor range, tachyon range, etc) will now draw engineering range if the ship has one and does not have a counter-shot or other auxiliary range.

Does this "engineering range" show the repair radius for MRS/Fortress?  Would help with positioning the MRS for best results.

The Range circle shows when placing-to-build (nice to have a view of the range).

I have yet to figure a way to show the heal range after it is built so that I know where to move it after it is  built. Z and A dont do it as far as I can tell.

Hmm, weird; it should show in any context where tractor beam range or counter-sniper-range or whatever would have drawn before (i.e. non-attack range)
