Wow, that would be insanely difficult!  For sure, that's impressive as a feat. :)

In practice it was less impressive, dyson sphere planet within two jumps of just about everything did 90% of the planet clearing work while max pop of bombers w/ shield boosters in transports did the rest :P the rest of my military was pretty much always on the defence against endless waves

gawd bless the dyson

With the AI changes, does the AI still employ all tactics and trickery at level 7?  (From 3.060.)

Nothing has been taken away from diff 7, if that's what you mean. There are some effects that are more severe at higher difficulties, but nothing is missing.

- The warp sensor is something considered by most to be completely useless except for newbies.  Hence the low cost.  If it's useful for you, great, but it's cheap for a reason. ;)
Mmmm. I find them useful personally. Though almost never more than 2 functioning.

Must admit though, I tend to wait on spending on them a bit.

I'm not knocking them, per se. But I think the cost they are at is appropriate, and a lot of players seem against them entirely for some reason.

There's no guarantee of that, no.  It was planned, and may happen, but I know both Chris and I were on Tidalis pretty much all day Thursday.

I am thinking it will be smarter to do it in the first half of next week, at this stage.  The worst thing is to have some sort of critical bug go out in an official release, and this one hasn't yet had quite enough time to where I'm comfortable that there's no such bugs.

If this version doesn't have any bugs, the official release will be exactly the same?

So if I start a new game with this version, and the official comes, the game rules wont change half way through?  I hate when the rules change mid game. :)

Yep, it's just bugfixes at this stage.

They would probably respond "what do you mean by 'worlds with more than one wormhole'?" ;)

I would instead reply with "why are you using your mobile fleet to defend, that's what turrets are for" :).
