Due to not playing for some time i forgot most of the hotkeys. If i remember correctly there is somewhere in the menu where you can look up the hotkeys. Outside of that it is very hard to find a list of hotkeys. Might it be possible to include that in the wiki?
The wiki would be a good place for the list (since it could have links to explanations of specific commands, etc), but there's also a controls.txt file in the game directory which should list pretty much every control in the game (if it doesn't, let us know).
The other thing is related to a new feature. I noticed the nice new tab where you can build lots of structures which turn on or off an automisation or a certain behaviour. I like this feature. But (there is always a but :-) ) it is not easy to keep a clear view on what you have built and what not. I imagine this particularily difficult if any of these structures are destroyed (not happened yet).
I think you mean control nodes. Those can't be destroyed
Would it be possible to implement those features via a collapsible list where you check and uncheck certain behaviours? Set the number of auto-engineers etc...This would make it easier to see what settings you have in place without changing much of the game mechanics.
This has actually been discussed ad infinitum in the forums; basically yes it's possible but it would take a lot of development time since those nodes impact the simulation and any equivalent interface option would have to be sync'd across the network whenever changed (and the UI for them takes a lot longer than adding a new node). So unless "change X Y Z control nodes to interface options" wins a DLC poll, we'll put our development time into cooler stuff
It is great to see how the game evolves :-)
Glad to hear you're enjoying it, and that you're enjoying the changes
