Well, that could make for some oddities, but it's sitting here with mitosis-fighters on my working build, so something is wrong :)  Shouldn't be too hard to enforce a degree of sanity into the situation.

Actually, maybe it's a little odd, I haven't seen resistance or marauder ships in any of the games I've played recently.  They used to appear every couple planets I've attacked but I've gotten probably 2 complete games without seeing them at all.

Just to note - i posted a "10 minutes earlier" save a page before (wow, whats up with my language today) ^^

And speaking of it, i have never seen any resistance fighters in my game either. I've seen marauders (annoying), but not resistance.

Well i guess the resistance is fed-up with my slow actions and takes it into their powerful comatose own hands now.

Lol, seems that way. We tend to run into them fairly regularly in our games. Just hang out on an AI world long enough without winning and they tend to show up  8)

What would i do that for though?  ;D Ah i see, ok that explains it - my usual attack pattern is - straight for command center replacing it with my own, 3 MK3 shields and fortresses as defense and hold the place until all ships are dead. I don't think that tactic would have resistance spawn... Maybe its because i usually try to build a command center no matter the cost. So the planet is in supply and i can do a lot more evil stuff (build fortresses ,p)

I had resistance fighters enabled.  I usually have all minor factions enabled, except dyson when fighting 'The Core' AI, the most useless minor faction combination ever.  ;D

It just seems like it's really rare now.  One game I had recently I had no resistance fighters till like 10 hours in, when like 1000 resistance ships showed up and completely wrecked a couple of AI systems.  It seems incredibly rare though.

     I'm starting to think that fortresses should be capped at one per planet... and that I should start abusing them before that happens.  :P

Modular fortresses? Hell yes. now THAT i would support fully, even if its a 1 fortress per galaxy cap!

Hmm... fewer, modular, stronger fortresses capped at 1 per player per planet. Interesting idea! Though it does kill some of our strategies... like sticking 9 fortresses and 200 spider turrets on a single planet and laughing at CPAs
