If you place the favicon.png file in the public_html directory this usually works. Though it depends on the server's settings. It needs to be 32x32 pixels.

Yeah, I know -- I've used them before many times in the past (way back when half the browsers did not support them right), but I just was not understanding him out of context.

Thanks for switching the theme back (although I just found out by reading this thread that I could have done so for myself). Some specific points about why I like this theme, so I'm not just complaining:

• It's high contrast, which makes it much easier to read for me
• It feels more compact than the other theme, so I'm not scrolling as much to read and information feels more clustered
• The icons for read/unread posts make better logical sense (I like the new icons)

This isn't so say I'm complaining about changing the theme in general, but that's why I didn't care as much for the previous one. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in
