Advanced Warp Sensor (New question, bug or no?)
« on: August 19, 2011, 10:24:54 am »
so if i understand correctly, the advanced warp sensor will make the planet flash on the galaxy map, right, the planet that is going to be attacked? because its doing that without the warp sensor..

Edit:

Hell while I'm at it may as well ask for some other clarification ;)

Sniper turrets under forcefields (the semi-mobile regular ones, not the spire or shipe based) do NOT have diminished damage, or is this only re enemy sniper turrets shooting in that arent affected (as well as the other stuff listed). Spider turret works the same way in regards to this too?

The galaxy map will always flash, because you always know which planets are being attacked (unless you have wave warnings disabled).  The advanced warp sensor will highlight the individual wormhole(s) on the planetary map that the waves are entering through.

Sniper turrets under forcefields have their damage reduced, just like anything else.  Their immunity to forcefields only means that they can attack other units that are underneath forcefields.  Same for spider turrets and other things with forcefield-immune weapons.  The safest place to put sniper turrets is actually on the outer edge of the system, as far away from everything as possible, because they have infinite range and instantaneous shots.

LOL, 3 games now with sniper turrets under shields  :o.
Thats what I love about the spire bases, no damage reduction from their shields, only time mass drivers are useful for me is under those, cause the AI beelines right for them 90% of the time -.-.

Thank you for the clarification :).

new one, when doing group move on a planet with speed boosting of some sort (in this case the zenith thingies), it isnt taking into account the adjusted speed. EX i have a group with a transport in it, which dosnt get affect by the zenith thingies, when i group move (which is auto for me), the transport still moves at the slowest, instead of its regular speed (slowest being the constructors).

Bug or intended (bloody obnoxious if intended :P)

Just so you know, you can go here to see existing bugs and suggestions, as well as post your own.
