Tutorial updates?

Having played AI War for a short period of time a while ago (and not terribly well either).  I now want to get my feet re-wet and looking to play it with some  regularity.  With all the changes created by the updates- are the tutorials reasonably up to date and reasonably representative of what is still in the game?  I remember there were some game play videos several versions old that differed quite a bit from what the game was at that time.  To put it another way- my only concern is that if they are several versions old they may not be accurately reflect the current state of the game.

The tutorial was updated for version 5.0, iirc; we haven't had an official release since then so it won't reflect any changes since then.  Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that's changed that would make the tutorially critically inaccurate or less adequate than it was.

And if you have any other questions that the tutorial doesn't answer, feel free to ask us   As one of the forum members said recently, there's a significant population of people for whom answering AIW questions here is genuinely recreational.

I played through the tutorial fairly recently and it covered everything pretty well.  Probably the only tiny thing that was a little confusing was the tutorial text on the planet view (list of all ships on the right side of the screen).  It doesn't mention where they are until the very end of the paragraph.  So as long as you just finish reading and then look for what it is talking about, you'll be fine .

It seemed pretty well for me. It played smoothly. Actually the tutorial even had a smooth sailing. I was just confused a little bit on the planet view. But so far, so good!
