Tweak to the warning by the advanced warp sensor
« on: November 10, 2009, 05:21:13 pm »
Whenever I see an incoming raid, my advanced warp sensor is supposed to notify me of which wormhole the raid is coming from.. The problem with this is that if I have more than one wormhole I have to zoom all the way in to see if the wormhole is red colored or not. What I am proposing is to make the wormhole large enough to see while zoomed out when there is an incoming raid and the advanced warp sensor notifies you.

Does anyone agree with this?

I believe that this is in the upcoming list; having a wormhole icon that would appear when zoomed out far enough.

EDIT:  Nevermind, strangely that I never noticed it (or at least use the Advanced Warp Sensor).

I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.

This has been done already in 2.001B or 2.001C, I cannot remember which.  It is indeed a good idea.  I take it you're on vanilla 2.0?

No I am on 2.001D... I wonder how come I've never noticed it? =/

However, I did just update to 2.001D yesterday from 2.0

Hmm, I had tested this and it was working... so far as I know, nothing has changed.  It is possible that it is still being overlapped by ships if they are really clustered around it.  Holding Ctrl pops it to the front no matter what, though.  Also, in all versions it has shown this info on the minimap to start out with (the icon flashing there), but again sometimes that can be obscured by a ton of ships around it.  Sounds like the Ctrl holding is the answer, in these newer versions at least.  Let me know what you think.

All right I'll give it a shot when I get home.
