Careful. Either by mistake or on purpose (not sure which yet), AI Superfortresses managed to escape the nerf bat. However, they are uncommon even among Fortress Baron AI types, and excruciatingly rare among the other types, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Super fortresses should get a particular nerf though, unless you have MK3 bombers or cut it off from supply its gonna be a long grind and you are fighting against its (fairly fast) regeneration as well. I played against fortress and Doorway AI and that was terrible, each planet had a fortress and black hole gen. Now one has a super fortress..

Also.. now that i heard that 5.021 is on the way, maybe the mobile repair station can get a little boost.. 60 seconds is too long (and i don't mean in enemy territory.. at least on friendly worlds, this delay should not exist or like, 6 seconds max.) I find that before my repair stations are deployed my engineers repaired everything before my fleet even GETS to the "mobile" repair station

Yea the balance of the AI superfortresses is currently out of wack. The managed to escape the HP nerf the rest of the AI fortresses got this version (which may have been on purpose, but I doubt it), and they never got the range nerf the other AI fortresses got to compensate for their increased HP. (Both issues are mentioned in bug #5121)

The result of all this is that AI superfortresses are extremely stupid right now. If they are brought down to the similar status to the other AI fortresses, then I think we can work on seeing what needs to be changed from there.
