Missing minor factions, anyone else?

Has anyone seen human resistance fighters spawn or human colony rebellions occur under the last few betas? I'm trying to determine if I'm just having odd luck or there's actually a bug here.

Yes and yes, but they do seem to happen a lot of a lot less than in the SlimDX days.

OK, finally saw some resistance fighters. It's been 8 hours now, though, and still no human colony rebellion. In fact, we haven't even spotted a human colony on the map, with perhaps 50% scouted. Is this still within the norm?

I've got a Human Colony Rebellion in my current game around the 8 hour mark. When it spawned there wasn't much in the way of notification, I only noticed the timer as I was checking the timer for the next wave or CPA. I got around 2 hours notice before it's cloak drops (haven't rescued it yet, was gearing up to do so last night before I had to stop playing) but I'm playing difficulty 6 AI's so it's probably lower on higher difficulty.

Captive Human Settlements only appear with certain AI's & at higher difficulties. Entrenched Homeworlder is one which always has them regardless of difficulty off the top of my head, could be others.

Haven't seen Human Resistance Fighters or Marauders yet though but again that could be linked to difficulty.

That's helpful to know on the timing. We're playing on diff 7, but if it took 8 hours in your game it's not outlandish that we haven't seen one yet.

Rebelling Human Colonies look like 2 biodomes connected by a tunnel. They appear to be spawned independently from Captive Human Settlements.

I thought the same as you when I read the blurb about Human Colony Rebellions until I came across them in a v3 game.

Interesting. Do the rebelling human colonies show up on the map before they rebel?

You become aware of them - and their location - 2 hours before their cloaking goes offline...
