Were there changes in how AI progression works? Just fired up my save and have an AI Progress of 206 under C, but I'm pretty sure it was actually around 84 before.

No, that could be a bug, or it could be something else.  If you send me your original save file, I can check what's in there and what's going on.

Unfortunately I've since made saves in C and don't have any of my original files. Unless those are of use there is still that autosave I linked to for another bug, I think that was reasonably close to the point where I moved from B to C.

EDIT: Just in case here is my current save

If you pause it on load and go to Aoar you can also see the first two groups of ships who have movement bugged and the ones still moving are about to encounter an enemy.

Note the impossibly high AI progress too compared to the number of sectors I have explored and warp gates remaining, etc.

Those wouldn't be of use.  I look a look in your autosave, and it was at 206.  The handy new graph of AI Progress over time shows that it started out with around 80-something, as you remembered, and then after 20-some minutes or so it jumped up to 206.  Any chance you might have lost a captive human settlement during that time, or something of that nature?

Ahhhhhh, that explains that. I didn't realise they'd attack it.

Balls :)

Oh, haha -- yeah, the enemy ships will go nuts to try to kill it, and they get a bunch of progress if it dies.  Your ships won't attack it unless you do the X-click thing once you control it, but still.  Or if you nuked the planet, that would do it.  The AI won't bother the settlements until you control them, but then all bets are off.  Glad this was something simple, anyway.

The new release, D, is now out!
