Does suggestions for new Modules for the Spire Fleet count as Nominations? Given that I figured they would be washed back into the Light of the Spire as that is where their units go. I got a few that I have been meaning to put up.

Those would not be bonus ship types or for this expansion (and thus not for this thread), but feel free to make suggestions :)  Variants of the champ/mod-fort modules would be pretty easy to port over to spire capital-ship/city usage.  It'd still take time, but if there was enough interest I could do it.

Well I would certainly like to see that, I was also thinking of something completely new yet not completely new at the same time. We have Spire Attritioners, why does the Spire fleet not have something like that you can mount in a heavy slot in place of a shield that does the same thing.

Anyways, I don't see a mantis on this (I may post one later), but some sort of high capped, long range unit?

Finally got off my lazy butt and posted this idea. Can people more creative than me help me flesh it out?

You could said the same thing about penetrator/jumpship/ion blaster/matyr/siege tower. I am pretty sure the AI will NOT be amused if it had to deal with those more often.

I didn't mention a few because they already have a "bonus ship" that fill the role.

Oh man I got an idea.

you think blade spawners or TDL are bad? You will love my idea.

Oh, I know.

Something that is cloaked, has tractor immunity, gravity immunity, sniper immunity, forcefield immunity, a high single target DPS, a high individual health (would probably imply a low ship cap type), high armor, a huge but not infinite range so it isn't classified as a sniper shot type (think cursed golem range), has energy bomb ammo type (which nothing is immune to), and bonuses to structural and command grade and probably others.  ;D

EDIT: Oh yea, and decently high speed too.

Need help brainstorming:

I want a starship that deploys drones...drones not like enclaves but drones like TDL's or Blade Spawners.

These drones are slow, frail, have a short range, and are produced slowly with only a select few starship carriers.

But...they almost guarantee reclamation if they hit their target. They have artificially high reclamation (not normal damage)...although if needed they can have high straight up damage as well.

The Marine / Hacker assault carrier.

Can't we have that unit does different reclamation damage from the normal damage (and not just mark-scaled from the normal damage?)? So we can just have it does whatever normal damage we want and 20m reclaim damage which 100% guarantee reclaiming...

You don't reclaim stuff with that few reclamation damage on it.  When the ship dies, the reclamation nanites (aka, points of reclamation) floats to a nearby enemy ship.  This process continues until a ship dies with enough reclamation damage on it to be reclaimed.  I can't recall if the reclaim point is 50% or 100% of the health of the unit killed.

It's 50%.

Anyway, yea, the floating nanites thing makes pretty much certain that as long as you wipe out the enemy group and they aren't really spread out (beyond nanite-hopping range) you'll reclaim a big chunk at the end (just at the time when they're unlikely to have the remaining firepower to take out your new reclaimed ships).

The advantage over the Leech Starship being?
