I find that kinda funny, considering you made it so that mark 1 ion cannons deal 50% of T2 ships health in damage last I checked, right? So shouldnt half of 100% of their health be 50% of their heatlh, and 1/4th be 1/4th of their health?

Nope. The damage boosts were only for the Spirecraft Ion Blasters, not the normal Ion Cannons. The devs and players are still trying to figure out what to do with normal Ion Cannons.
And even for the Spirecraft Ion Blasters, when they can't instant kill due to mark levels, they instead do normal damage. Its a decent chunk of normal damage for them, unlike the pitiful 100 damage of the normal Ion Cannons, but normal damage nonetheless.
If anything, drop it by 25%, since thats what the OMD does, XD

Yea, making an Ion cannon do 75 instead of 25 damage against stuff it can't instant kill due to mark is a huge buff.

Sorry, I thought That was how it worked, which I was apperently mistaken on.
So yea, It *should* deal that fractional damage to higher tier units, as well as having that fractional, or instakill damage reduced by the 25%.
So, Ion Cannon T2 vs T2 unit, when ion under forcefield, deals 75% of the T2 unit's health in damage, Unreduced by armor or anything else.
