Neinzul Nester & Astro Regenerator Train Interaction

Has anyone encountered unexpected Neinzul Nest activation after killing AI ships in the presence of a Regen train? I'm getting a mix of mkII and mkIV neinzul ships out of nowhere and I'd love to know why.
