Well, you never can tell with the AI.  In some respects, it's really possible that it's preserving us under similar evolutionary circumstances. :D

A few months ago I became aware of the attack bears in some installment of the CnC series.  A desire to have a cheat-gag "space attack bears" unit immediately followed ;)

Just put them in an air-tight space suit and attach metal jaws to the front of the helmet. This makes perfect sense, trust me.

For human-controlled bears, sure.  The AI would be far more inventive ;)
