AI War - Cheats

More More More (Remove Ship Cap From All Units - added in 1.014)

A game without ship caps...hmm...

supreme commander anyone?

I'm curious on how a serious game using this will play out, and what strategies would change as a result.

An army of protector starships and infinite amount of shieldbearers escorting an cluster of warheads into AI HW through whole galaxy.

EDIT: While infinite amount of MSDs are producing insane amount of neinzul railpods. And in meanwhile on the other side of galaxy player HW is protected by 100 Spire Dreadnaughts.

EDIT MK2: As far as getting energy for all that, its pretty easy.

1000 Spire habitation centers stacked up on the nearest city, obviously. (By the way those in the pic are NORMAL collectors, not matter ones)

LOL

So Fallen Spire is either disabled, or you haven't gotten a Spire City yet.  What other megacheese could be done in such a campaign?

Can always go good ol' way of capturing every planet via whateverspam and putting mk3 econ + like 10000 mk4 heavy beam cannons and some forts under protection of like 1000 protector ships each, slow and steady.

Honestly, you wouldn't need even a tenth that many HBC4's to hold off absolutely insane amounts of ships. HB4's are just that good. I've watched Spire Exo's hit my defenses. I don't wanna say the HBC's do more than everything else combined... but its gotta be close and I wouldn't be shocked to find out it was true.

Clearly the limiting factor here is metal.

Now I want to play a Defender Mode campaign this way, so I can run out of metal trying to build stuff

Wouldn't the limiting factor be the point when your computer spontaneously combusts?

And that's why there are High Caps.
