Minor pronunciation and fluff questions
« on: December 15, 2012, 02:42:34 pm »
Is Neinzul pronounced with a long A (as in neighbor), or a long I (as in nine)? Also, several story related questions:

How widespread was knowledge of the Imperial Spire among the Human factions before the A.I. rebellion?

Why do the Spire insist on referring to Earth as Tellus? (Yes, I know it's Latin, but still)

Did the Zenith, Spire and Neinzul have any contact with each other in the past?
I would not mind you in my head if you were not so clearly mad.

No idea

The spire as a race were fairly well known at least in that there was trade.

Why do the Spire insist on referring to Earth as Tellus? (Yes, I know it's Latin, but still)

Well, I'm sure they wouldn't call it Earth! No more then if we found an alien on Mars we would keep calling it Mars and not what the Martians call it (at least at first)

Did the Zenith, Spire and Neinzul have any contact with each other in the past?

It could be that the Zenith and Spire had contact since it seems both go way back. The Neinzul I'm not sure when they started, but I'd imagine if they did exist they'd still be roaming in their enclaves like they do now.
Life is short. Have fun.

I always pronounced Neinzul with an "e". Kind of like the german "no" (Nein) but with an "e" sound instead of an "a".

I always pronounced it a bit like nay-in-zuul; treating the 'ei' as a diaeresis.

That's how I've always pronounced it.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.
