Mining Golems and important stuff
« on: January 19, 2010, 05:48:39 pm »
Early on a mining golem struck waaay out in the unknown galaxy. I thought, "cool, one less planet to deal with later". Later on i discovered that that planet just so happened to contain an ADV factory. Grrrr. Something really needs to be done about making it possible to fix this!

Wasn't there a change back in 2.0 that even though nuked planets didn't give supply, ARS and Advanced Factories can operate without supply? All you can do is build the command station, you won't get any resources or be able to build anything else, but you can still capture ARS and AF and they will operate without supply.

Found it. From the 2.0 release notes:

Quote
-Previously, if a planet had been destroyed (nuked), it was not allowed to have a command station build on it.  Now command stations can be built on these planets as normal, which is necessary for capturing any structures that might remain on those planets.

-Planets that have been nuked no longer give or receive supply.  So other structures beyond the command station can no longer be built on these planets, engineers do not function on them, etc.

-Advanced Factories no longer require Supply to function (this makes them work better with nuked planets, and other similar situations).
