Do wave sizes seem a bit small to anyone else ? I think I'm against an entrenched homeworlder ai, but at just under a hundred ai progress i'm getting waves that have 2 snipers and a leech starship. Average wave has probably been 20 ships at most and a starship. I know balance is on-going, but I was just curious. Every other aspect of the game seems about on par with my normal difficulty level as far assaulting planets goes.

I checked mantis but there wasn't an open issue for wave sizes.

lol, oh wow. thats funny. yeah, I've noticed that. on my end, most of the planets I'm on have multipliers, and at about 3-400 AIP, I'm getting waves of only a few hundred and a starship or two. but that might just be because of the Zenith descendant I'm playing against.

And yeah, Collic, I think there is an issue with that.  Can you log it?  I think the only reason it wasn't logged until now was that people were just getting flattened by the counterattacks, etc.  Now that that's back on an even keel, the low AI waves are again rearing their head.  Can you log that in the bug tracker so I don't forget?

Entrenched homeworlders are semi-turtle types, as I recall. Thus, should be lower waves overall in favor of more defenses

I know, that was why I mentioned it ;) That doesn't explain the consistently small waves (for both AIs) in any case.

If I was to suggest (part of) a solution it would be a minimum wave size (say 50, with a starship added for the next bump). Getting a wave of 3 ships isn't really a wave so much as a trickle. As far as maintaining a balance, if needed, wave frequency could be scaled to compensate at lower AI progress, for example. Just ideas though, of course.

yeah, 3 ships is something you'd expect to get as a retaliation for entering a wormhole.
