make web site popups from ai war link direct to steam?
« on: November 09, 2010, 09:19:34 am »
on instances like multiplayer screens, those that could link direct to a web site such as  'visit the meeting grounds forum' link brings ai war out of steam, and opens a web browser externally.

since it's using steam, why not just take advantage of steam and let it open from steam's browser?

We don't actually tell your computer how to open the link, we just tell it to open the link, and it (generally) uses whatever default browser you've got set up.  I don't think we could tell it to use steam if we tried :)

hmmm...but i've seen steam games that uses its built in web browser whenever a link is clicked, like team fortress 2. If you clicked on stuffs like 'read more' it would bring the built in browser out. Maybe theres a special browser command from steam ;D

VALVe games aren't the same as 3rd party games being sold through Steam. I've never seen a non-VALVe game do that. Also you don't have to use Steam to install & run AI War (even if you bought it through Steam, all you need is the installer from the website & your license key).
