LOS Quest
« on: November 10, 2010, 01:48:07 am »
I have just purchased LOS and started a new game.
I entered the serial, enable the expansion and enable the minor faction.

I get the first journal entry and read it. Seems simple. I look at what I can build and research. I see nothing obvious. I must be missing something. Can someone give me a hint please.

Thanks - I must have been blind. It doesn't help that it uses the same graphic.

I'm sure that will change pre-release :)

That depends on how Chris is doing art-load wise since the survey ship looks ok as a science lab.  Chris's style and tools don't lend themselves to creating the kind of pixel-art typical of the early human graphics.

I seem to recall HitmanN doing some really nice pixel art for the HBC and the Flak turret...

*arrives on the wind* *or a cloud/rainbow or something*

Someone call me? ;D

Well darn it, if it's sprites you need...  :D

I haven't looked at LotS yet, so I need to get myself acquainted with the unit(s) first. I actually sent Chris a pile of random sprites for use recently, as donation, but those were mostly combat ships and such.

To be clear, I don't know if Chris is intending to do a new graphic for the survey ship; I think he's working on graphics right now so I guess we'll know soon ;)

I could save him some time by doing the survey ship thingie though. He'd have more time for other stuff. ;)

HitmanN, I just told Chris that you were volunteering to do the survey ship graphic, and he said that would be great :)

Actually, I just got a new survey ship graphic in place.  I was in there with the other ships, and editing pixel art is something I'm quite good at -- I just can't do new stuff from whole cloth.  So, false alarm, but thanks! :)
