Hello.
I have been busy making a Lego model of what I think an AI War Missile Frigate looks like. You cau judge its Mark for yourself.  ;)

And as an added bonus: my desk!

I know someone who could name all of those bricks by part code, without a reference sheet.  Yeah, I know; it scared the sh*t out of me too.  ???

So. What do you think this Missile Frigate's Mark level is?

I think I would have to say II.

Strangely, after looking at it, I felt this could be a missile/beam hybrid ship. I shall now prepare a beam/missile frigate request thread.

Looks to me like MkI from total lack of side wing-thingys...

Very impressive, you are clearly a guy who loves his legos! Got enough left over to do a Tachyon Microfighter or 3? :D

Wow, that's extremely cool! I've always loved Legos, but I'm really only good at following the instructions - building something from scratch and trying to match a graphic... those are quite out of my league. Great work!

This also brings up a question that's been on my mind: are the ships in AI War manned? The backstory mentions the extensive use of drones, but it would also make sense for the humans to avoid using technology that's so tied into the AI. But then how do parasites work?

Generally you can believe what you want, X4000 left the vast majority of the details to the players imagination -- i imagine the vast majority of ships are controlled by remote (seeing as there are no longer trillions of humans) but operated generally by people with a (very) primitive intelligence serving to take care of the ships when they aren't given direct orders.

I think of them as wholly unmanned, with the exceptions of some of the golems and specialties like marauders, resistance fighters, and mercenaries.  Parasites function like a hostile computer virus, taking them over electronically more or less.  But yes, I let people believe what they want. ;)
