Quick question on nebula.

Are nebula present in-game whether there are champions present or not?

If not, if a game is started with no champions then either a normal + champion or champion player is added will there be nebula?

I haven't played many games without at least one champion since the Ancient Shadows expansion so I'm completely unsure.

I believe if there are no champions on game start, there will be no nebulas seeded at all for that entire game even if a champion were added later on.

I'm fairly confident that nebulas seed even if there are no champions at gamestart. I believe I've done this in the past, and you'll even notice the random tachyon guardians in the relevant location. I'll check and be back in a few minutes.

Yep, as soon as I add a second (disabled) champion player or switch myself to normal+champion, the nebulas appear. I believe this is because they exist even if you don't see them. There even used to be mysterious wormhole guard posts in the middle of nowhere.

I remember enabling a Champion a while back, and nebulae didn't suddenly appear.  I guess it was because I'd started that game without Ancient Shadows, then enabled that to enable a champion.  It seems nebulae are seeded iff Ancient Shadows is enabled when the game starts, regardless of Champions.

If Ancient Shadows is enabled in the lobby, then the nebula are always seeded regardless of champions, specifically because of the adding-champs-midway thing

They just don't show up if you don't have champs.
