Keith Appreciation Thread
« on: December 03, 2012, 03:55:50 pm »
Looks like Keith has been sick lately and probably feeling pretty nasty.

Another thing is that we as a forum are very quick to criticize changes and problems with the game, while not taking enough time to thank Chris and Keith for all their hard work!

So I devote this thread to thanking Keith for all his passion and dedication to AI War. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. Feel better soon!

If we took the proper amount of time to thank Keith and Chris, there would not be any time left to play the game, let alone criticize it  :)
But still, get well! Hope everything goes smoothly with AVWW2 as well!

A bit over the top, but I do appreciate the thought ;)

This last week I've been basically free of whatever pestilence was passing through, but still with a lot more to do than time to do it in.  A bit of a break from AIW has been helpful there.  Valley2's getting pretty close to beta.

I don't mind criticism of the game or recent changes or whatever; we need that.  But it's also good to have a healthy balance of not talking only about the things that we don't like, etc.
Have ideas or bug reports for one of our games? Mantis for Suggestions and Bug Reports. Thanks for helping to make our games better!

You two (Keith, Chris) are two of my three most favorite game devs.

You might not always make games I like, or change the ones I do in ways that I enjoy, but you're ever-present, reading every conversation and supplying your own input, while also maintaining civility.

Unlike a half-dozen or more other devs I could name.

Hey Keith
I would like to thank you in the form of code like other people have, but I don't know enough other than maybe simple println in Java. I would really appreciate you writing a short bit of code for me to use as a thank you!

Thanks!

Just chiming in here; I'm a relative late-comer to AI War, but the amount of tweaking, improving and outright reinvention of game mechanics I've seen over the course of the post-5.0 beta is awesome. Thank you!

Arcen customer service is literally the best that I've experienced. I have so much respect for all of you; you listen to our complaints and ideas, making complete revisions if necessary and help fix problems faster than any other company whose games I've played, very small mod teams excepted.

I appreciate everything you've done. Keith, Chris, Josh, all of you.

I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.
