I like lighting warheads a lot more currently.

Edit: AI galactic control ships are actually immune to warheads as of now.

I dont, one was sent at us recently. We lost a few minutes after, it took out every turret, fort and ship in the area.

We have those rocketry corp chaps turned off now.

Warheads now do like 2 billion damage that kills one ship passing the damage to a nearby ship and so on. Unfortunately, the AI galactic control ship is one ship that takes the full brunt of the 2 billion damage.

The GCS is immune to the Warheads and Martyrs, though...?

AI Home Command Stations and GCS's are now immune to warhead/martyr damage (the Home Command Station was already immune to normal aoe, but not martyrs).

General question about the GSC. I've never seen one in combat, I know it only shows up if you trigger a particular event. Other than triggering said event, is there any place where the stats/info on the beast is listed? I'm kinda curious to see how one of these compares to say a mothership, H/K, or avenger.

If you push F1 while in the game the planet summary bar changes to list all the units of the game per mark with each press of F1. The GCS is located in the Mark V section if you hover on the AI Home command station.

An AI galactic control ship is basically a super mother ship and has one sole goal of destroying your homeworld. No unit or play in the galaxy will change it's course. Gravity rippers are super effective I think since cloaking a whole bunch and surrounding the AI galactic control ship should buy you all the time you need.

You people have no shame ;)

It's always entertaining to see what kind of combos get pulled in response to intense danger.

What is this thing you call shame? I've never hear of such a thing. :P

On the topic of GCS, I would figure that camping the wormhole they are coming through with an FS fleet would do wonders. They appear right in MY range, their hyper ranged, radar dampening immune attacks mostly offset. Sure they still have a metric ton of DPS to throw at me, but at that range, so does my FS fleet.  However, I have yet to actually get to test that, because the FS response from the Showdown is SUPER FREAKING CRAZY. At least it was last time I made it that far. I'm trying an X map, hoping with luck I can set it up so I only have to defend 2 points. A Spire City, full set of trader toys, and half of every possible static defense. Should hold out, right? Only need to last 30 minutes, how hard can it be?

See the response I had at 3 minutes here:

BTW, that a 'mini' wave. The waves get larger.

So you looking at least 30 times what you see there in total.

Warheads should help more, I did not have the save so I am building up a new one to give it another try again.

For solving emergencies, or causing them?
