Is there a tutorial for the tutorials?

I've struggled through to the combat tutorial (about the third one?)

and it keeps on banging on about the planetary summary, well it would have been nice if the tutorial had told me where it was - as I can't continue further

I've poked about got all sorts of untitled dialogs up which I can't get rid off and am now thoroughly confused - even on the last screen the tutorial was on about there doesn't seem to be anything like a planet summary

crap I hope these tutorials get at least a little more user friendly...

Planetary Summary
The Planetary Summary shows you how many ships of each type you and your allies have on the current planet.
It also gives you information about the attack multipliers, hull types, and abilities of each ship type.
Sometimes the enemy will have a kind of ship you've never seen, and this is how you find out what to do about it.
Hover over any of the items on the plantary summary (the palette to the right).
TIP: You can press F1 repeatedly to cycle through all the ships in the game this way.
