Because there has only been one kitten ever made, and it was the prototype. I gave it to Keith who last I checked was keeping it at the Arcen Moonbase (or was the Martian Base?) because I threatened to turn on its override command and have it eat him for changing the Enclaves. (I wanted my MKIVs without a Advanced Factory because with 3 exo sources its hard to keep those alive) (I will note I enjoy the new Enclaces quite a bit though, so I have forgiven him for that.) As such, the Nienzul Kitten is actually an experimental class unit. My next design will take it from fleetship class to starship class...

Ah, that explains it, still we need mk5 fabricator!

Lets see, following the scaling I am using a MKII would probably be Guardian/Spirecraft Class, and a MKIV would be Golem class... So MKV Nienzul Kitten would be.... Mothers-... Mother Of Kitten class.

I think you mean, Hunter/Kitten Class? :D

Guys, I come up with all kinds of ideas for writing projects and never end up going through with them. This could be dangerous. I could end up writing AI War fanfic, and nobody wants AI War fanfic.
I'd read it. Mostly to see how one makes RTS fanfic in the first place though. (aside from Tiberium Wars, which is more of a novelization in online form than just fanfic really)

Also, the forum is somewhat cramped but reasonably readable on a 3dsxl browser. :)

I mean I guess I could. It probably shouldn't be about dating though, to spare everybody's sanity. If I get brilliant inspiration, I'll write something entertaining for all to read.

To be fair, the Zenith Traders seem to have adjusted decently. Yea, they are being very seclusive, and very non-committal to sides, but at least they are offering (rare, powerful, alien) goods others want, need, or desire, and are accepting (a LOT) of payment for it. Presumably (hopefully), they will use their accumulated profits in the terms of raw materials to help reestablish themselves or something.

But for all of the other (non-nebulae) Zenith factions, yea, they got issues; they are not dealing with their, admittedly catastrophic, loss very well.

P.S. Notice the title change for this post, as there isn't much discussions about engineers or MSDs going on anymore in this thread.

A human archeologist is digging for Zenith artifacts. In the process he gets a LOT more then he bargains for with a sentient spire. Oh, and he has a nenzul ranch on the side.

I chuckle at the thought.
Life is short. Have fun.

A neinzul ranch would be so high maintenance though. You have to feed and breed them every 3 minutes or so, so that all of your livestock doesn't spontaneously explode.

Not if you build the ranch inside a Transport.

Well, yeah, you need those regeneration facilities as well. At least with those, it's not nearly as bad. I forgot about those. Just remember, not everybody has all that metal and crystal lying around. A regeneration facility is an investment.

Sadly, I don't think a "Monster Rancher"-style game would work in the AI War Universe.

Breed and train 500 Neinzul, only to have them die off a few minutes later? No matter who you have as an artist, I'm not sure how you'd make a Neinzul Cockroach cute, let alone 500 of them. People have tried, but I still don't think it would work.

I'm sure this is how the Neinzul view themselves, however.

I think the idea is, you raise the creatures and make just enough profit scrapping them to afford a regeneration chamber. Then, once you've reached that point, you can breed all the Neinzul and unlock all of the different creatures. If you ever take them out to train, you have a strict time limit to get them back home, that's the only thing.

And then get some scapegoats, to not worry about time limit for a while. ;)

Scapegoats also lead you down a side line of Neinzul creatures that look similar to goats.

So is that where Neinzul Cheese comes from? Neinzul Scapegoat ranches?

...

Either the Neinzul Younglings really don't like Scapegoat Cheese (if we're offering it at the spacedock) or they really love it (if we told them it was held on the AI planet we sent them to), given how quickly they fly out of the spacedocks and how many of them depart.

(Addressing a comment earlier, i.e. that the Spire is far too common: looking at the Wiki and counting up all available fleetships, starships, and mobile superweapons [and yes, I added in the six ships from the new expansion, but not the various nebula faction ships and champions], the Spire techbase accounts for about 20% of the ship types in the game, the Zenith techbase accounts for another 20%, the Neinzul techbase accounts for roughly 13%, and the Human/AI techbase accounts for the other 47% of the ship types, this out of a total of 135 classes of fleetships, starships, and mobile superweapons; I would say this is relatively balanced, unless I miscounted somewhere. As a side-note, I only counted ships as Spire or Zenith or Neinzul if they are Spire/Zenith/Neinzul somethingorothers, or are spawned by Preservation Wardens and the like, and I did not include fleetship spawns, Hive Golem Wasps, or missiles from silos. With regards to superweapons, though - there, the Spire really does make up something like half of the ships, with sixteen distinct classes of Spirecraft and Imperial Spire warships as compared to the 11 classes of golem, which includes the Dyson Sphere, Cookie Monster, the Trader, and the Miner.)

Where would Railpods fit into Monster Neinzul Rancher?
