I'm officially an addict
« on: July 23, 2011, 02:10:12 pm »
I just checked my Steam games played list.

#1: AI War with 215 hours played.
#2: Mass Effect 2 with 192 hours played.
#3: Mass Effect with 70 hours played.

AI War has really eaten that much time? Geeeeez.

How'd manage nearly 200 hours with ME2!?  The game lasted about 80 hours over two completion runs for me--can I assume you ran through the game with all the classes?

I think AI War is around the 200-400 hours mark for me, but I don't use it with Steam.

(Current 24.4 hrs past 2 weeks in total)
Counter-Strike: Source:  354.6 hrs on record
Killing Floor:   263.2 hrs on record
Team Fortress 2:  55.8 hrs on record

EDIT:  actually, that doesn't seem right.  CS:S should be up in the thousands of hours, because there's no way that a year of Killing Floor would have as much playtime as my high school fanaticism with the game.

Ai War: 135 hours (and not done yet)
Mass Effect 2: Lots of hours, probably about 80.
Defense Grid: The Awakening: 34 hours and counting.

Granted, this is just off my Steam library...

Okay, and I thought I was an addict xD

Also, yeah my playthroughs of ME have been with many different characters, choices and endings. I've done almost everything in that game by now :P Even savegame hacking to look awesome. (Not a malicious link. It's a youtube vid from one of my favourite moments in ME2)

Also have the BAD ending of ME2 here with another of my edited femsheps. (spoiler warning!) I kinda liked her with black hair and purple, almost flourenscent eyes. Renegade, ofc.

I only have 96 hours, and several of those hours were just leaving it on so I could listen to the soundtrack while doing other things. I feel like I need to play more now.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

89 hours so far. I haven't actually won a game yet, but that might be because I keep restarting in order to experiment with different shiptypes.

Current game: solo, started with Eye Bots. These are fun for assassinating gates, stuff behind shields, etcetera. Then my first ARS contained viral shredders. Now I have a stack of about two thousand of them in low power on a world near my current combat front. ;D

Counter-Strike: Source - 249hrs
AI War - 218hrs
Garry's mod - 196hrs (idling 95% of that time though!)

Too lazy to prod my desktop and have Steam tell me what I'm up to, but last time I checked, maybe in June, I was approaching 200 hours for AI War.  Probably not quite there yet.  It usually goes up a few hours a week from our weekly multiplayer game, with the occasional jump when I play by myself.

It's kind of funny looking at some of the other games people have high numbers of hours played for.  I'm ~20-25 hours into ME2 right now and can't imagine playing it a second time after I finish, much less spending 192 hours on it.  Collecting crew members and doing loyalty missions is starting to feel a bit tedious.  Similarly, FFX was the game that finally killed the Final Fantasy series for me.

Also, my mudding laughs at your puny three and four digit playtimes:

Code: [Select]
Nalgas D. Lemur was created on Thu Oct 23 22:19:38 1997.
Played 57894 hours since creation

It's been running longer than that, and I started before then, but that's when everything was moved over to the current system, so that's what it thinks the file creation date is.  Including all other characters, it's well over 60k hours total.  Of course, that's over the span of more than a decade and a half, probably 90% of that is idling, and in the past seven years or so that rises to easily 99% or more.  Heh.

I wouldn't even know where to start.... I own about 200 games on steam, so far I've played about 1/3 of them. I often play games in offline mode due to terrible wireless internet so steam doesn't count all hours.
AI war: about 250 hours
Counter strike: source: about 250 hours
Left 4 Dead: 350-400
Left 4 Dead 2: 100 or so
Defense Grid: The Awakening: 100-120
Killing Floor: 294 exact
Dead Space series: 70-80 hours
King's bounty series: 100-120 hours
Sol Survivor: 70-ish
Devil May Cry 4: 150-180
Doom 3: 60-70
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne: about 150
Unreal Tournament: GotY edition: 350-400

That's about everything I got with more than 50 hours, not counting MMO's, off steam games and consoles (of which some MMO's and console games exceed the 1000 hours playtime).... I need a life lol

Steam didn't start tracking hours played beyond the last two weeks until, maybe 2009 or so? Anyway, certainly not from the beginning of the service, so any playing you did before they started storing that information would have been "lost."

For my part, Steam shows 383 hours, which doesn't track the ~50 hours I've played outside of Steam. I can't compare to other "time played" figures on Steam because most of my games aren't on the service.

I'm terrible about getting distracted, so my AI War time isn't as impressive as many here. I love the game, but then I notice something else shiny in my game list and then suddenly I realize that it's time to go to bed and I haven't even gotten around to loading that AI War game that I was planning to play...

That said, I spend a ridiculous amount of time checking the forums. I do believe I have spent more time talking about this game than playing it. Here is what it says at the top of the forum for me: "Total time logged in: 9 days, 6 hours and 37 minutes."

Steam says I only racked up ~20 hours, though I had played AI War alot before Steam, plus the countless times I've played off-line.

I've racked up 700.6 hours in Counter Strike: Source, so I should hit over a thousand by 2012.
