In other words: if you can still see the botnet, place more forcefields on it.

I have to do that too, Hunter Killers seem to love the Botnet, and it really makes me wish that I could rebuild it once it been destoryed. You always have an Exo wave once you turn it on, so why not allow you to rebuild it when it dies?

I might be crazy, but I'd support the number of botnets seeded being N/2 with at least 1, with N being the number of planets (whether it be the same player or different players) so that for example a 4 hw game getting 2 botnets

How were the golems destroyed in the first place? Would it be terrible if you could re-rebuild destroyed golems?

Actually, I'd support this for the golem  count in general. I think spirecraft asteroid count does this in some form already.

I think this is one of the easiest ways to beat higher AI difficulties or to pick up AI types achievments. With the harvester upgrades and 8 HWs of resources, you can make two chokepoint planets pretty strong pretty fast. However, if I did it again, I would probably do 7 HW out of 10 so that there is at least one non-AIHW planet to pick up a Fact IV, ARS, Golems, etc, before having to crack the first homeworld. Mk I vs core is not pretty...

...I had to use a lot of nukes just to get a presence on each planet, though that may have been partially due to the core beam guardian covering the entrance wormhole. The second HW was easier once I controlled all of the manufacturing buildings on the first one.

Just exo strength.  Same deal with spirecraft-hard and fallen-spire.

Just exo strength.  Same deal with spirecraft-hard and fallen-spire.
I'm not so sure about that. I have golems hard at 1/10. I'm at 15th hour of game and there was no exo yet. I'm not sure if I should be bracing for H/Ks due to some kind of cumulation or it forgot to send exos.

I don't know why that would be, just checked the code and it factors in faction intensity only after it's actually decided to send the exo, to determine the strength multiplier.

Even if you were still at AIP 10, it should have sent an exo by now.
