Very nice video. In case you want it, I cleaned up the text for you. It was all pretty good actually. Certainly not anything I had trouble understanding.
AI War: Fleet Command is a space-based RTS with an incredible AI and unique tactical and strategic combat depth.
Here I am attacking a heavily entrenched Mark III planet with an Ion Cannon, Armor Inhibitor, and AI Eye.
The AI Eye will spawn enemy ships if I have more than a 2-to-1 unit advantage. Meanwhile the Ion Cannon will one-shot smaller fleet ships.
First I send a strike group of six starships in Transports to destroy the Ion Cannon. The lead Transport is empty and is there to absorb incoming fire.
The Transport protects my starships from damage until they reach their destination.
To destroy an AI Eye I need to destroy all the guard posts in the system. The Armor Inhibitor has too much health to be destroyed and I can also capture it to use for my own defense.
After the Ion Cannon is destroyed I will send in my main fleet. My fleet is mostly Mark I and II ships against the AI's Mark III ships. That will be a hard fight.
Now that my strike force is in position, I unload my starships to destroy the Ion Cannon.
An Ion Cannon is deadly for small ships with its unlimited firing range and high rate of fire. But it cannot do anything against starships and it has fairly low health. <<slight content change, mentioning Ion Cannon ROF to make the sentence flow smoother>>
After the Ion Cannon is destroyed I will bring in my smaller fleet ships.
Raid Starships are very quick, lightly-armored ships with very good firepower. They cannot hold up long under enemy fire but can do a lot of damage before their health gets too low.
Since they are deep behind enemy lines I will use this opportunity to destroy the guard posts there.
I sent in a Cloaker Starship in with my fleet in preparation for some future stealth actions.
Cloaker Starships can cloak nearby allied ships; very useful if you wish to reach your destination unnoticed or save your damaged ships.
A guard post is destroyed by Raid Starships. Now for another.
Bomber Starships: fast, well armored, short-range ships that can do enormous damage to enemy starships and guard posts.
They are the ship that can be sent into a heap of enemies, get the job done, and come back out damaged but alive; the warhorse of my army. <<interesting description since a lot of people find Bomber Starships too fragile>>
I sent three of them to destroy the enemy starship that will soon be in range to fire on the smaller ships in my fleet.
One of my Raid Starships is heavily damage. I order him into a Transport to evacuate him from the battlefield for repairs.
Paralyzers and several Parasites stand in my frontline. They are the only high Mark ships I have.
Paralyzers stop enemies from firing and Parasites help me capture enemy ships so I can use the enemy's own ships against him.
Time to save our wounded hero.
<<Consider doing a transition such as a Wipe here, rather than a Straight Cut>>
I retreat my damaged fleet for repairs and immediately have evidence of how good the AI is in this game.
The AI has launched a powerful counter-attack on my damaged fleet with eight Spire Stealth Battleships and some small fleet ships.
I was lucky I had a reserve fleet nearby to save me. Otherwise my damaged fleet would have been an easy target.
Remember that Cloaker Starship I sent in earlier? While the rest of my fleet retreated the Cloaker Starship was cloaking my Bomber Starships.
They close on their next target under stealth and then decloak and assault the guard post.
I cannot waste time while my fleet is repairing because the enemy is receiving reinforcements after my attack.
So I have to attack with this small detachment to capture this system quicker. Time is the most important thing in the war.
The enemy counter-attack was beaten and I am finishing my repairs. I have time to check if there is any trouble in my own systems.
Two nasty Spire Stealth Battleships are assaulting my system. The AI in this game does not let you get bored. I send two of my Bomber Starships to destroy them.
While they are destroying them I will begin my second attack.
Artillery Starships: Very long range and very good firepower, the best starship killers in the game. Both great on defense and on offense as huge fire support. Without their firepower my smaller ships would be destroyed by the AI starships.
I sent them to destroy the enemy starships waiting at the entrance to the system. While they are doing this I will return to my Bomber Starships' stealth attack.
My Bomber Starships have destroyed one guard post and now they are destroying another. I bring in the Cloaker Starship to cloak them when they finish their task.
The guard post has been destroyed and now they can enter stealth again.
My fleet has entered the system and the heavy fighting cost me my Artillery Starships.
Now the enemy fleet ships—Missile Frigates and Bombers—are assaulting me.
Missile Frigate: Attacks from long range with missiles.
Bomber: Heavy, well-protected, assault ship with huge firepower.
Missile Frigates are vulnerable to Bombers, while Bombers are weak against Fighters.
I sent my Bombers to attack Missile Frigates, and Fighters to intercept the AI's Bombers.
The Bomber Starship can do its job despite heavy enemy fire. Now it is destroying the last guard post in the system.
When the last guard post is destroyed the AI Eye self-destructs. Now I can move my full fleet into the system.
I could not do this before because the AI Eye would spawn defenders to help if I had too many ships in the system.
How long I waited for this moment. Now it is time for the AI to see the wrath of the humans!
<<consider more transitions at the end here so it is more obvious when the text changes>>
AI War: Fleet Command is a space-based RTS with incredible AI and unique tactical and strategic combat depth. This movie was devoted to its tactical combat. Strategic combat is deeper and more complex.
Choose objectives for assaults and decide on the path through the map to reach them. Place your fleets for defense and offense on the strategic map. Repel massive AI counter-attacks. Build defenses with turrets and other things for your systems.
Research new ships and capture factories from the AI to produce unique units. Find alien super battleships, repair them, and use them against the AI. Play a heavily scripted campaign with alternate victory conditions.
Every game is a unique campaign, spanning a 10-120 planet galaxy map which can last from 8 hours to several months. Fight a challenging AI with 26 styles, and 20 additional styles added in the first two expansions.
Every AI is unique, from the AI who heavily entrenches its systems but weakly attacks, to the brutal aggressive AI who does not let up. What about the AI who specializes in stealthed units, or parasites which capture your ships when they are destroyed.
More than 70 types of ships, over 30 fleet ships available to the player. In every game a player begins with only four, but has the ability to steal 4-6 additional ship designs. So every game the player has a unique set of ships with a unique type of AI.
Every game is unique and unrepeatable, requiring different tactics and strategy. To try all the ships available to the player requires far more than a couple of games.
Game can be played cooperatively for 2-8 players. The AI in cooperative play becomes especially deadly. There are types of AI who will focus their efforts on destroying a particular player. The help of your friends will be needed.
