I've set globally, to produce engineers automatically.

however, on specific planets, i don't want it to auto build as it's a waste. On these planets, i want to put 0 as engineers, but i think the program won't know and would still refer back to the global auto build options if local planet's set to 0!

:P

global options are always present.. the planet specific options add onto the global options.

I mentioned way back in the day that there should be single planet suppression options available, but people wanted single planet build instead *shrug*

edit
for usefulness, i usually run as such:
global:
1 mk1 engineer
1 rebuilder

planet specific:
2-4 mk1
1-5 mk2
2-10 rebuilders

generally, i only planet specific stuff for construction worlds, my homeworld, or border worlds.

thats odd. Why would anyone don't want single planet suppression? like in my scenario, its actually more appropriate to have it

It's very much wanted, trust me. Arcen have just had a lot on their plate for a long while and haven't gotten round to it yet!  :)

Best chance is in the new year, especially if it wins a community DLC poll.

I seem to recall that I also voiced support for this ;)

Simple implementation. Local slider instead of going from 0 to X, should go from 0-(global slider's current setting) to X.  Whenever the global slider is changed, sanity checks could be run on all local settings.
the hard part, is I see no 'right' way to handle when someone had global slider at say 2, reduces it to 0 (all suppression should become 0 as the new minimum) and then later goes back to 2.  should we have remembered the suppression, or should those all have to be reset?

or, just put a checkbox - override global settings.
