How to remove Priorities?
« on: September 12, 2014, 03:38:12 pm »
This bothered me for a long time but I was too lazy to look or to ask.
How can I remove priorities from planets in teh galaxy view? I prefer to have no priority on my own planets. Currently I use the 0 priority to tag my own planets but I would rather remove it entirely so I can focus on other planets when I search for priorities.

Select a priority, the right-click on the system to remove the priority.

Goddammit, I even tried right-click but I have bever thought that you have to select the priority first.

Thanks, that helped me out.

I've been wondering this, but always forgot to ask when I was on the forums. Thank you for saving me the trouble.

Though I wouldn't throw out the idea of giving priorities to your own worlds completely- it can help to remind you what you need to defend. I'll often give priority 9 to homeworlds (mine and the AI), and then give 8s to any worlds with Advanced Factories or Advanced Starship Constructors. Then if I'm playing with the Spire Civilian Leaders, I'll usually give those worlds a 7.

Same. I give my homeworld priorty because I can see that in worm hole names, which can be very useful in more hectic maps. I also do all my adjacent worlds for the same reason.

I thought this thread would be about how to clear a unit's target priority (so it reverts to shooting whatever it can hurt best). Does anyone know that one?

If you mean removing FRD Mode and similiar modes, just right click somewhere with the selected unit.

Another question, how can I remove a unit group?

No, a unit's targeting priority ("bomber mark IV, bomber").  And no, I don't know how to do that.

Set control group: Ctrl + 1
Add to control group: Ctrl + Shift + 1
Remove from control group: Ctrl + Alt + 1

The 'End' key cancels all orders, including targeting priorities.
