How can I configure scouting paths?
« on: December 21, 2010, 08:57:45 am »
When I send scouts somewhere I can only control the end on the path and not which path they take.  Is there a way of controlling their paths without micromanagement?

Welcome to the forums :)

You can hold shift and right click each planet you want them to pass through in-order to control the exact path.  I'm not sure if that qualifies as micromanagement :)

Dear Urist McTransport,

You have lots of health, and decent speed. You also have a large capacity. DON'T PATH THROUGH BLACK HOLE MACHINE PLANETS on the way to friendly territory.

I rather dislike rebuilding my entire strike force.

Sincerely,
Your benevolent overseer

But, but, there were _unclaimed socks_ on that planet!

Oh no! Urist is still alive after all of these years?

How! How is this possible!

Alas, poor Urist! I knew him, Keith, a fellow of infinite
use, of most excellent capacity. He hath bore my fleet a
thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is!
My gorge rises at it.

It has a nice ring, but surely the proper dwarven beverage is not prepared *gasp* above-ground, so as to be in view of the moon.

No such thing as above ground drinks! They make us sicker than merely being above ground!

It worked, thanks. :)

Nope, I only have to direct them once rather than after every jump.

But the real question is, if we mine them, how much would weapons made out of them be worth to those slimy tree hugging elves?
