I thought you worded this pretty well.
Although, it can be argued that the game does change with all of the options ( nomad planets changing wormholes, especially if you have Neinzul rocketry corps on them, warp beacons that can be built on planets with large threat, schizophrenic with x2 waves, or use any of the alternative ways to win than standard conquest ( ie, spire fleet, exodian blade, nomad beacon victory) or if you play with the quadratic ai type.
However, more options that allow the AI to be more dynamic are an automatic buy in my book.
