Hotfix 1.012 (Fix to crazy AI attacks)
« on: August 01, 2009, 01:41:10 am »
This is the first time I've had to release a hotfix for an official release, and hopefully it will be a long while before I have to do that again.  The bug that PhilROI reported was much too severe to leave another week, though.

The hotfix: http://www.arcengames.com/share/AIWar1012.zip

That version is an upgrade from version 1.010, so you have to already have 1.010 (or greater) installed. Just unzip it into your game folder (usually C:\Program Files\Arcen Games\AI War\ unless you specified something else). Please make sure that your unzip process keeps the folder structure from the zip file, rather than just unpacking all of the files into the base target directory.

Full release notes for this hotfix:
-------------------

-Fixed a bug with AI ships not properly guarding the command posts they are supposed to reinforce, instead attacking player planets too much.

-AI was getting too many engineer drones in some reinforcements.

-Planets that are on alert now appear with a yellow border instead of a crimson one.

-Planets that have incoming waves now flash their borders black and red.

SPECIAL THANKS
--------------

-Thanks to PhilROI for initially reporting the bug with AI ships not guarding properly.

-Thanks to eRe4s3r and Haagenti for suggesting the brighter on-alert borders.

-Thanks to Revenantus for suggesting the incoming waves show a fulltime visual cue on the galaxy map.
