There's a binding called "Show Strong/Weak Info" under "Planet View" tab in the control options. If I remember right it's bound to LeftAlt + W by default, if it's not then then go to the options and bind it to what you want.

If you hold LeftAlt + W and mouse over units then it'll show you "win" or "loss" percentages for that ship against all the ships listed on the right side display.

For example, if you hold that and mouse over a Frigate, it'll show "100% Loss" under Bombers, which means if you pit a bunch of Frigates against the same number of Bombers then the Frigates will lose 100% of the time.

It doesn't consider mixed groups, significant differences in range, defensive bonuses from other units and/or structures, or other stuff like that. However, if you need a quick and dirty idea of which of your ships in the system can kill this thing you're trying to kill then that's pretty fast way to do it.

The question is simple.
Indeed, it will be.
No, it is.
Present?
Not future.
My mistake.
I flip the coin.
I caught the coin.
What do I see?
A simple game where I can predict the outcome of a fight.
What do I see?
You tell me.
A game where I have to rely on calculations to predict the outcome of a fight.
How irritating.
Indeed.
I say.
Now then, how can we...
... fix it? It's really simple, we just have to...
... simplify the whole game.
But how? People like it that way.
You don't need to force anything.
You can just add an option.
Make everything better.
At least, it doesn't involve rowing.
I should be happy.
Or should I?
Most people can't stand unnecessary numbers.
Even I can't.
Neither can I.
That's why I don't add zeroes to my assistant's paycheck.
I don't think it's the same problem.
It depends from where the zeroes are located.
Zero, zero, zero, one, zero, zero dollars are still a hundred.
As is one, zero, zero.
Which begs the following question...
... why would anyone put unnecessary numbers?
Maybe they like when a basic unit has more than one million hitpoints?
Maybe they don't believe in the power of the point?
Is there a fault in the script making the game incompatible with points?
Maybe we should look for a world without commas.
Such a world would be...
... most interesting, I believe.
Unfortunately, we have another one on the way.
Chin up, dear brother, rowing is good exercise.
It is most delightful for my heart.
And for mine as well, dear.
The bird?
Or the cage?
Tails?
Or head?
Sugar?
Or cream?
Such an infinite amount of questions.
Such an infinite amount of answers.
It will only leads us to more questions.
Discovering is living.
Indeed. What a boring world it would be, if everything was already common knowledge.
Indeed. Luckily, we can still explore.
There are many things to explore.
Such as other worlds.
Are books tears?
Are you trying to be philosophic, dear brother?
Perish the thought, dear sister.
Let's abscond from this place, we've been here long enough.
We came, we're here, we will be gone.
Died, dies, will die.

This is the part where I quote someone in an attempt to look clever? Nah, too mainstream. I used signatures before it was cool.
