Hacking issues
« on: October 18, 2012, 05:58:03 pm »
Huge number of zombies appearing up to two planets away from the hacked target; is this intentional? More than half of them appeared somewhere else. They then proceed to act like the old spec forces (ie morons).

Also, during hacking, raid starship groups so spawned will occasionally simply ignore gravity turrets. Either the AI really hates me, or this is a bug.

Note: not urgent, ignore until after 6.0.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Yea, one of the wild rolls is to hop to a different planet.

Maybe it shouldn't zombify those, I dunno.  Though the zombies shouldn't be too moronic, that may be a more recent thing.

There can always be more than one thing wrong!

Very odd about ignoring the gravs; that's checked multiple times per second without throttle.  Does it reproduce across save/load?  If not, even a save of the hacking situation where this sometimes happen might make it reproducible to me in a reasonable timeframe.  Either way, please toss the save in mantis with this, as otherwise I may forget about this thread by the time I'm making changes again.

Hahahaha, came into this thread expecting someone to complain about the ease of hacking the game, and how their entire experience had been ruined as a result.

I simply came to say, "Find some better friends you dolt." Then realized my opportunity never existed to begin with!

If anyone succeeds in hacking this game in multiplayer for advantage, without causing a pretty-immediate desync, I would be very impressed :)

Probably one of the harder games to do that in.

Well, if you ever get an option to have the ai be partially controlled by a player, maybe there would be more incentive for hacks  ;)
Life is short. Have fun.

Mantised.
Though at this point said bug is all that is delaying the Grand Champion Stomp. Well that and the twenty(!) shadow frigates on each HW.
