Spire shield guard posts' radar dampening acts weird when other, normal forcefields are overlapping. Sometimes, the units under the forcefields require the shooter to get close, other times they don't, I guess depending on which forcefield is currently "covering" the unit. Alos, it is unclear which range the radar dampening range is relative to in this case. From the edge of forcefield, from the center of the unit providing the forcefield, or from the unit targetted underneath the field?

I think the easiest thing may just be to remove spire shield guard post's radar dampening, and in fact, remove radar dampening from all forcefield providing units. The biggest "cheeses" for guard posts are mostly taken care of the SSGP's immunities anyways, particularly antimatter bomb immunity (if they don't already have this, they should get it).

Sorry to necro, but added the most annoying part of this issue to mantis, with a note about the occasional inconsistency of being able to fire in the comments:
